In contrary to information and forms still being used on the BGFC website: www.beegeesfanclub.org I herewith would like to inform you that since December 1 - 2004 I have stopped with the administration work for BGFC Europe. Read the reason why I have stopped.

In answer to a message of the BGFC President on the BGFC Message Board of February 1st announcing what has been the reason for my leaving...

I can only add the following to my already mentioned information below, that: In contrary to what has been written on the Message Board by Terri/ BGFC :

1 I never informed BGFC that I was unable to perform my fanclub duties anymore because of personal reasons but like earlier in this announcement mentioned to you: because of lack of good communication with BGFC.

2 I had been communicating with Terri from the moment we started with BGFC-EUROPE (although communication never was optimal as we all know) we did have contact directly at that time and never like suggested by her on the message board: always through any liaisons in The Netherlands. These liaisons just had asked us specificly when we started with BGFC-EUROPE, to keep in the back ground at all times and so we decided. Suddenly end of September 2004 it was Terri herself who stopped all communication with me as well as with these liaisons without any notice and she didn't answer any mail, fax nor phone call from either of us anymore about the club.

3 It's also not true like mentioned by BGFC/Terri on the Message Board that I chose not to cooperate with my friends in The Netherlands anymore ( I still do!!! And we have perfect contact), and like earlier mentioned it's also not true what Terri/ BGFC mentions in this message of February 1st. about my desicion that I - 'chose not to listen to or coopererate with BGFC' - . The above written announcement proves it's quite different from that.

REASON why I stopped!!!

I think I need to try and answer here some questions on the website to all those fans and club members who keep mailing and writing me for quite some time already about so many BGFC fan club questions they have, and which seem to be unsolved so far. Before people start to blame me too for the situation the club has come in to, I need of course to explain things.

To begin with; I'm not doing work for BGFC-EUROPE anymore, so in fact I cannot help you anymore with any problems by I'll try to explain the situation as far as possible. I have been doing some administration work for the European members of BGFC for some time and that's why also my own GSI website informed fans about joining BGFC in that period.
However:
I have decided to stop the administration work December 1 - 2004 due to lack of communication with the fan club address in America for quite some time already which made it impossible for me to do my work for the club and to help the members in a for me satisfying way. December 1 I right away stopped the special BGFC-EUROPE account as well, so no more money could be send to me by members for BGFC-EUROPE, this to not make things more confusing. Problems are not only due to Terri's surgery she had some months ago, nor due to some other things happened to her last year, it already lasted longer. I'm sorry I cannot tell you why Terri doesn't answer your mails/letters. I have no idea! Please keep trying to contact her, that's all I can say.

The fact that I decided to stop with BGFC EUROPE is also the reason why the information and forms of BGFC are no longer published on my GSI website.

At this point I do not even know if the club is still up and running as I myself haven't had any contact with Terri since September last year and also her website hasn't been updated lately. I only hope Terri's health is better again but I still haven't heard from her yet.

Of course I continue doing all my work for the Gibbs and their fans and keep maintaining my GSI website. All members who still haven't heard anything after their latest payment to BGFC/BGFC-EUROPE, nor received the promised material for one subscription period (a new members/renewal kit and 3 volumes of the Dimensions newsletter), should not send complaints or ask their money back to me anymore, but directly through the address of: BGFC: Terri Bridge - Miami Beach.!!

I've been taken the fan club work very seriously during all the years I've done it already and I do not see BGFC fan club work or any fan club work as being some volunteers job because: different items are being offered here to the club members for which they are paying a fee and of course then need to receive the items they have paid for within the promised period of time.

On the message board of Terri's website there seem to be fans who still think that I, as well as my GSI website, are still part of BGFC. Like I mentioned I stopped my administration work for BGFC-EUROPE December1. All the other fan work etc. I still do like before.

On Terri's BGFC website there are still very old BGFC-EUROPE forms published which are not relevant anymore and of which I've asked Terri already many times to change them into more up to date info I had given her already early last year and later on I asked her to completely remove the forms after I'd decided to stop with the administration work as it's confusing for the fans, however she never did, sorry.

I immediately sent out a mailing to all BGFC-EUROPE members of whom I had a current working email address on December 1 to inform them about my decision. I expected that Terri herself, being President of the club, or someone who'd represent her and the club during the months of her illness, would inform all members right away but I understand this didn't happen yet which makes things even more confusing for all members. This I regret but there's nothing more I can do about the situation. Terri knew before she'd to go away for her surgery that I had decided to stop later on that year but probably wasn't able to take action towards her members in time or ask anyone else to do so.

At the time of sending that mailing I refused to write down to the members all facts of why I had decided to stop as I was afraid it would in the end hurt the fan club which I didn't want to happen. Now, some months later I unfortunately started to understand that it has become time I have to speak for myself as people otherwise would easily misunderstand the situation and would start to blame me. I wrote both publications in cooperation with the people in my country who assist and advise me with my fan work and with whom I still have an excellent contact like always.

There isn't a new issue of the news letter ready yet although stated in Spring 2004 there would be one ready very soon. The latest sent out was the double Maurice Tribute issue of Summer 2003. I hope I herewith have explained the situation and answered some of your questions. Let's hope somehow the problems will be solved for the club soon.
