This is only the fourth entry on this chart for the Bee Gees. "You Should Be Dancing" was a No. 1 hit in 1976. "Stayin' Alive," "Night Fever" and "More Than a Woman" from the soundtrack to "Saturday Night Fever" shared the No. 3 spot in 1978 and "Tragedy" stopped at No. 22 in 1979.

"If I Can't Have You" (The Disco Boys Remixes), of "Bee Gees Greatest" Enters at number 71 in the German chart. For the first time since 2001.
The Bee Gees career stretches over more than 40 years in the German singles chart.

The remaining brothers announced that there would be no more new material by the group after Maurice's death in January 2003. So to see a new Bee Gees track enter the survey requires some detailed look. At first it is obvious that Rhino is a dedicated re-issues label. And as I'm not aware of a new Bee Gees anthology coming soon or any 30th-anniversary specials next year, "If I Can't Have You" of course is the Gibbs-written "Saturday Night Fever" song turned into a UK (#4) and US (#1) hit in 1978 by Yvonne Elliman. It never was a hit for the brothers themselves. Only Kim Wilde took a remake to #51 in 1993 back when airplay was allowed into the compilation of the lower half. Now it becomes the brothers' 45th chart entry at #71 as it is remixed by the Disco Boys, 40 years after their debut in 1967, and it's the first song to make the top 100 since "This Is Where I Came In" peaked at #25 in the spring.

This re-issue enters the Catalog Charts in the USA. "Bee Gees Greatest" is number 1 in the Catalog Chart and is the 35th best selling album in the US. The set scanned 20,000 copies in the USA this week. In Canada it enters the charts at 29. The older version of the set had peaked at 3 in the Catalog Chart back in 1997.

This is a reissue in spite of the new songs so it's correct what Billboard has done here. Greatest joins legendary albums like "Dark Side Of The Moon" and "Grease" which have topped the top 200 and the Catalog Chart. The Bee Gees had reached number 1 in this chart before with: 'One Night Only' which has been a very good seller in the USA in spite of reaching only 72 when released in '98.

"One Night Only DVD" The DVD climbs from number 8 to 4 in Brazil . This is amazing bearing in mind that the DVD was number 1 back in 2003 .The set is also at number 10 in Australia.

Australia by the way is the 7th and Brazil the 12th largest market in the world. In Brazil the Brothers Gibb have a huge following, even more than the Stones and Abba by a big margin, at least in record and DVD sales.

"Number Ones" After American Idol the album entered at number 13 in the Catalog Chart. The following week it dropped to 44.The set spent 60 weeks on Billboards top 200 chart and has spent 7 weeks in the Catalog Chart shifting 1.035.000 copies in the US alone . The Bee Gees debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 the week of May 27, 1967, with "New York Mining Disaster 1941 (Have You Seen My Wife, Mr. Jones)." The group's earliest American hits sounded so much like the Beatles that some DJs thought it was the Beatles in disguise.

"Number Ones" climbs from 127 to 98 in The States The set is still selling very well in the U.S. After 25 weeks on the Billboard Charts. "Number Ones" sold more than 10.000 copies this very week and has sold more than 477.000 copies in the biggest market in the world.

Even though "Number Ones" was released and aimed at the Christmas Market it has sold 213.672 copies in the U.S.A. this year so far.

The "O.N.O." DVD is at 6 in Australia and at number 4 in New Zealand.

Robin is at 25 in Brazil with "Tantas Palavras", the version of "Please" performed together with Marlon and Maicon.

It peaked at 2 back in 2004 and it is oftenly charting in the top 100.

"Numer Ones" climbs from 143 to 122 in the U.S.A. having completed 20 weeks in the charts. A re-run of the Bee gees Biography was the key factor. The show was aired there last week again. The set sold 11.000 copies this week and has sold more than 435.000 copies in the U.S. sof ar.

Gibb compositions in the seventies The Bee Gees had 4 singles as a group among the 30 best sellers of the decade and "Shadow Dancing" at 3 and "Emotion" by Samantha Sang at 13.This is sensational. Only The Beatles had the same domination (that was in the 60s). Believe me this is amazing !!
